Here's a 99 R1 Yamaha Bike I airbrushed. A local body and paint shop sprayed the candy red on it ( 3 coats). Then I painted my graphics on it. He then sprayed 3 more coats of candy on top. It turned out great. Dennis is his name, and he owns Isom Collision in Hillsville. Dennis did a great job on the candy paint. It complimented the graphics perfectly. My plan was to do the images and then candy over those as the owner wanted them somewhat subdued. How do you subdue something of this nature and not destroy it. So we worked it out that we could lay down 3 coats first, then lay 3 coats on top of that. The end result is incredible. You can still see the images fine, but they don't take over the bike. I'll soon hopefully have finished pics for you, and get rid of the redundant pics on here. For now, enjoy.
